Day 6 consisted of:
- Jewish Quarter: we looked around the synagogues and temples, which during World War II was preserved as a “living museum”. Taking photos were restricted, so there really isn’t much pictures of inside the buildings.
- Roaming of Prague: all the students had a chance to roam around Prague before the concert.
- Concert at the St. Saviors Cathedral: the cathedral was very beautiful and was wonderful to play at. Although it was very echoey and hard to play in, it had a great ambiance and we played very well. At the concert, we had a really good turnout of audiences. Almost a packed house!! The musicians played a really great concert and the audiences’ responses definitely showed it, we played TWO encore pieces.
- There aren’t any videos of this concert, so please enjoy the pictures from this day below.

John,
You are phenomenal! You have produced an amazing photographic and video record of this trip. Back home we can only imagine the excitement of traveling in storied places and playing for appreciative audiences where much of MCYO’s repertoire was written. We wish you the best in your remaining hours in Europe and look forward to hearing all about the trip and concerts when the orchestra returns tomorrow.
Safe travels, –Steve Johnson (Matt’s dad)
